BirdFon, a lightweight and elegant phone plugin, makes Thunderbird a speaking friend in your online life. With BirdFon you can call your friends in a way similar to the SkypeOut service. The major BirdFon advantage is that it allows you to make calls straight from email application, without having to launch additional programs.
BirdFon is a Thunderbird-based phone, so you can do a true click-n-call - just select a phone number in any Email message you send or receive, right click on it, and BirdFon will connect you to the desired destination. Make your friends, partners, and customers wonder the speed of your response to their Email messages! BirdFon not only saves you time and makes dialing phone numbers more convenient, it also stores all the call history online.
Call history is available via an intuitive interface - you will never loose an important phone number again. Also, by using the "tell a friend" link, you can easily invite friends to try BirdFon - they will always be able to phone you when they are online.

Fast Installation has also become available from BirdFon.com website. Just launch an .exe file and BirdFon gets automatically installed into your Thunderbird Email client.

Auto Gain Control (AGC) checks what you and the person you are calling hear and makes audio signal level optimal.
Hints:
* Turn Headphones AGC off if you hear echo, noise, or sound-wave interference
* Turn Mic AGC off if the person you are calling hears noise
